In his role as general manager for Carestream Dental’s imaging technology solutions (ITS) business, Malcolmson is responsible for defining the strategy, developing the portfolio and driving the operations of the company’s equipment portfolio for the best customer experience. He has been with the company since 2025 and is based in Colorado.

Malcolmson has more than 20 years of management experience—including previous time spent at Carestream Dental as general manager for the intraoral scanning unit and the business and practice management software unit—in analytical instrumentation, medical devices, hospital IT and cloud solutions, including R&D, sales, marketing, professional services and business development. 

Before joining Carestream Dental, he served as vice president/general manager at Hach (A Danaher Company), where he oversaw the company’s newly created digital solutions business unit. Malcolmson has also held leadership positions at Invacare and Medtronic. He holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Ottawa and a Master of Science in aerospace engineering from the University of Florida.
