Prosthetic-Driven Implant Planning module (PDIP) now open to STL/PLY format files
  • User can manually import any digital impression in STL or PLY format into CS imaging version 8.
  • User can use the PDIP module to match any STL/PLY impression with any Carestream Dental CBCT volumes.
Workflow
  • Select a patient in CS Imaging
  • Import a model in .STL or .PLY format
  • Open a CBCT volume with CS 3D Imaging
  • Automatically match the .STL or .PLY file with the CBCT volume
  • Plan your treatment in CS 3D Imaging
  • Export data in third-party software for surgical guide creation
2 Support of AI Insights
  • AI Insights is a new cloud-based service providing a powerful tool for the analysis and reporting of panoramic X-ray images using Artifical Intelligence technology.
  • The AI Insights icon will be visible in CS Imaging version 8; only in countries eligible for the service. For more information about the availability in your country, please contact your Carestream Dental representative.

CS DICOM additional character set support

  • Chinese, Japanese, Koran, Thai and Cyrillic character set can be configured in CS Imaging version 8
  • CS Imaging can query worklists, display names and procedures and store data in PACS with the character set configured

CS 3D Imaging Implant Library update preference

  • At CS 3D Imaging installation, the user is prompted to either enable or not select Implant library updates
  • This choice can be changed in the preferences under the implant section of CS 3D imaging
  • The new preference is considered when relaunching the software

CS 3D Imaging miscellaneous improvements

  • A light viewer can be added with exported volumes to make it easier for referrals to review
  • In the preference/MPR panel, the Default Auto-ROI setting has been set to the maximum value (180 mm)
  • In the PDIP module, to facilitate the registration process, the maxilla and mandible of the same model are grouped with the maxilla on top
  • Patient information, preferences, help and about are now available under a "burger menu" on the top right of the CS 3D Imaging interface. "Burger menu" saves user-interface space and increases visibility
  • When available, CS MAR volumes are transferred to Carestream Dental or third parties' clinical applications such as SMOP, BlueSkyBio or 360Imaging
