CS 9300 System Recognized among Dentistry Today’s Top 50 Technology Products for 2015

The CS 9300 system has been recognized by Dentistry Today’s readers as one of the Top 50 Technology Products in the industry. The cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and panoramic system will be featured in the magazine’s 29th’ annual Top 100 Products issue in November 2015.

“We make it our goal to respond to the needs and opinions of the doctors our technology serves, so the fact that Dentistry Today readers are the ‘judges’ for this recognition makes it even more rewarding,” Edward Shellard, D.M.D., vice president, sales and marketing, said.

The CS 9300 offers exceptional 3D imaging technology and leading 2D digital panoramic imaging with variable focal trough technology. The system features medium to large field 3D imaging with seven selectable fields of view, ranging from 5 cm x 5 cm to 17 cm x 13.5 cm. These fields of view support a wide variety of clinical applications. One-shot cephalometric imaging is also available as an optional feature.

Additionally, the CS 9300 can provide 3D exams at up to 85 percent lower dose than traditional 2D panoramic imaging. 3D images captured using the Low Dose Mode for a 5x5 cm adult exam provides an effective dose of just 3 microsieverts (μSv)*. Existing CS 9300 units can be upgraded to include the low dose module.

This is not the first time Dentistry Today readers have acknowledged Carestream Dental technology for its innovation. The CS 3500 intraoral scanner has been recognized several years in a row.

Dentistry Today is the leading clinical news magazine for dentists. Products featured in its annual Top Products section are selected based on reader response and interest throughout the year.
