PRESS RELEASE: Carestream Dental Welcomes New General Manager for Greater China Region

With Shanghai being home to one of Carestream Dental’s thriving R&D and manufacturing facilities, the company has a strong connection to the growing Chinese oral healthcare market. That’s why it’s pleased to announce Arthur Qi as the new general manager of the Greater China Region.

Greater China is Carestream Dental’s newest region, formed in 2017 after Carestream Dental was established as a freestanding digital dental technology company. Arthur will be responsible for overseeing the company’s design and execution of its imaging and software growth strategies in China.

He brings to Carestream Dental a great deal of dental experience and knowledge of both local and global markets. Arthur most recently worked as an investor in oral healthcare at Anance Investment, where he was a founding partner. Prior to this, he held leadership roles at GlaxoSmithKline, Straumann Dental, Sirona and GE Healthcare China.

“Arthur’s diversity of experience, which ranges from building companies from the ground up to establishing strategic alliances with local healthcare corporations, makes him a great fit for Carestream Dental,” Lisa Ashby, CEO, Carestream Dental, said.

Arthur holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Engineering, as well as a master’s degree in engineering from Tsinghua University and an MBA from INSEAD of France.
