Socializing at the Summit

One of the best parts of traveling as a team to educational events is the chance to socialize after a day of learning in a fun, new environment. Even better, social events at conferences are designed to help attendees meet new people in their field, as well as offer an opportunity to unwind with coworkers. The Global Oral Health Summit is no different. Attendees will find social events from sunup to sundown that let them bond with their own coworkers while networking with others.

• Summit Service Project, Friday, Nov. 9, 7:00 a.m.: Nothing brings people together like rallying for a common cause. And when the cause is as good as building care packages for local service members and their families, what’ not to love? Carestream Dental has invited the USO onsite so attendees can give back to a worthy cause during the Summit Service Project

• Opening Reception Lip Sync Battle, Friday, Nov. 9, 7:30 p.m.: The fun’s just beginning when courses end on the first day of the Summit. Entertainment at that evening’s opening reception is provided by the attendees! Teams from across the country are invited to sign up and come prepared to “sing” their hearts out; costumes and props are highly encouraged. The winner will be determined by the Summit audience.

• Summit Sunrise Stroll, Saturday, Nov. 10, 6:00 a.m.: If you didn’t have too much fun the night before, get up early for the Summit Stroll through the Gaylord Texan’s acres of gardens. Even if your teammates are still in bed, Carestream Dental product owners and leaders will join you on your walk to guide you and answer questions

• Closing Session, Saturday, Nov. 10, 5:00 p.m.: Close the Summit with a tasting of local wines and chocolates. The Summit wraps up early on Saturday night so attendees can explore historic Grapevine, Texas, with their teams and new friends.

Don’t forget, a fun way to network and socialize all throughout the Summit is participating in the Dentition Expedition within the Summit app. Attend specific events, answer questions and watch the leaderboard to see who will win the grand prize!
