Using Digital Technology for Copy Denture and Overdenture

Digital Dentistry has grown leaps and bounds over the last 20 years. One area of rapid recent advancement has been in the field of dentures. Thanks to numerous technological advancements, the era of analog dentures, much like that of crown and bridge work, is transitioning to digital formats. As occurred with crown and bridge work and aligners, previously tedious and frustrating tasks for clinicians have been transformed into simple and reliable profit centers.

In this webinar, we will first explore the traditional analog methods and the challenges associated with creating the copy denture. We will then examine how the same process can be simplified and expedited through digital formats and styles. Finally, we will discuss the impact of these advancements on the workflow for the over-denture solution.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will learn to analyze the changes digital dentistry has brought to copy and reference denture workflows.

  2. Participants will gain the skills to integrate this knowledge into their practice, utilizing existing digital hardware to produce digital dentures.

  3. Participants will learn to assess whether transitioning more of their denture workflow to digital methods is suitable for their practice.
