CS 3500 Intraoral Scanner Recognized among Dentistry Today’s Top 100 Products for 2014

Readers of Dentistry Today agree—the CS 3500 intraoral scanner represents what's new and innovative in the profession today. The scanner has once again been selected to be featured among the top products for 2014 in Dentistry Today’s 28th Annual Top 100 Products issue.

With the CS 3500 intraoral scanner, practitioners can easily acquire true color, 2D and 3D images that can be used with CS Restore or CS Model software. Requiring no external heater, powder or trolley system, the CS 3500 features high-angulation scanning of up to 45 degrees and to a depth from -2 to +13mm. Additionally, the CS 3500 features a unique light guidance system that aides in the capture of the data during the image acquisition process.

The CS 3500 was introduced as part of the CS Solutions portfolio, a unique open CAD/CAM system. This open system gives users the option to either use images captured by the scanner to design and mill crowns in-house or share digital impression files with preferred labs to create restorations or orthodontic appliances.

“Since being introduced last year, the CS 3500 has proven to be a very popular offering from Carestream Dental,” Edward Shellard, D.M.D., chief marketing officer, director of business development, Carestream Dental, said. “This recognition from Dentistry Today’s readers reaffirms that the scanner is a ground-breaking tool that’s meeting the needs of dental professionals.”

Dentistry Today is the leading clinical news magazine for dentists. Products featured in its annual Top 100 Products section are selected based on reader response and interest throughout the year.
