ATLANTA—Carestream Dental is offering dental professionals the opportunity to learn from the unique experiences of leading clinicians and educators from around the world—as well as the chance to experience the latest technology—at the 2014 Dentalxp Second Annual Global Symposium, June 18-21, Hollywood, Fla. From a full day of lectures to hands-on courses, Carestream Dental ensures that participants come away from the Symposium with new insights that will benefit their practices and patients for years to come.
Carestream Dental is sponsoring a full day of general session lectures focusing on imaging and technology, Thursday, June 19. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and 3D imaging will feature prominently throughout the day. Some sessions of interest include “Guided Full Arch Immediate Implant Reconstruction: 2014,” by Michael Pikos, D.D.S., and “CBCT as an Interdisciplinary Diagnostic and Treatment Planning Tool,” by George Mandelaris, D.D.S., M.S., and Daniel Spagnoli, D.D.S., Ph.D.
“The type of CBCT imaging technology we’re seeing today is changing patients’ lives for the better, while simultaneously changing the way dentists practice,” Marc Gordon, general manager, U.S. equipment and software, Carestream Dental, said. “Carestream Dental is dedicated to making sure that professionals have the tools and information they need to use this technology to its best advantage.”
In addition to Thursday’s lectures, Carestream Dental is sponsoring three hands-on courses. Four Continuing Education (CE) credits are available for each course sponsored by Carestream Dental.
Wednesday, June 18, “Intuitive Workflow for Same Day Restorations,” by Daniel Delrose, D.D.S., and Richard Steinberg, D.D.S., F.A.C.C.D. The course covers topics including options for CAD/CAM dentistry; clinically excellent restorations; ceramic restorations; and restorations using a practice’s own clinical protocols and cost review.
Thursday, June 19, “Review and Communicating CBCT Findings: Keeping it Simple,” by Robert Waugh, D.M.D, M.S., and Christos Angelopoulos, D.D.S., M.S. This course examines the CBCT anatomy and present strategies for reviewing, recording and sharing crucial diagnostic information.
Friday, June 20, “3D Imaging at your Fingertips: A Hands-on Workshop,” by Jordan Reiss, U.S. sales director, 3D imaging, Carestream Dental, and Christos Angelopoulos, D.D.S, M.S. This course provides advanced training to clinicians on Carestream Dental's 3D imaging software.
“Ultimately, Carestream Dental’s focus on innovation, integration and interaction translates into smoother workflow, diagnostic excellence and humanized technology, leading to increased efficiency for dental professionals, and we want to share that at the Dentalxp Global Symposium,” Gordon said.
The Dentalxp Global Symposium takes place June 18-21 at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa, Hollywood, Fla., and focuses on identifying and delivering predictable solutions to challenges that clinicians face every day in order to achieve optimal results in esthetic and implant therapy.
