New Resources Available for Doctors Interested in Medicaid Incentive Program

Carestream Dental has partnered with Amazing Charts, a trusted electronic health records (EHR) solution, to provide resources to practices interested in using certified EHRs with their existing CS SoftDent, CS PracticeWorks or CS WinOMS practice management software. Practices that do so may earn up to $21,000 per dentist.

Practices that adopt, implement, upgrade or demonstrate meaningful use (using EHRs in ways that can be measured significantly in quality and in quantity) of certified EHR technology are eligible for incentives through the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program. To receive Medicaid incentive payments, a provider must have met patient volume thresholds of 30 percent over the previous calendar year or prior 12 months. Doctors who wish to take advantage of this incentive have until the end of 2016 to adopt EHR technology.
