CS 9600 Receives Krakdent Medal of the Highest Quality

The CS 9600 CBCT system was recently awarded the prestigious Krakdent Medal of the Highest Quality at the International Fair KRAKDENT®, held in Krakow, Poland. The system was recognized in the Diagnostic and Treatment Equipment category.

Opident, Carestream Dental’s business partner in Poland, submitted the CS 9600 for consideration because of its advanced, yet user-friendly, interface and exceptional image quality. Some of the innovative technology that solidified the CS 9600’s spot as the category champion includes unique video cameras, not lasers, that provide live positioning feedback on an incorporated SmartPad. Interactive guides are superimposed onto an image of a patient’s face to further aid with positioning, leading to more accurate results with the first scan. Furthermore, exclusive metal artifact reduction algorithms, known as CS MAR, reduce scatter and distortion and even let users compare images live with and without a filter.

Every year, dozens of Polish and foreign dental companies exhibiting at International Fair KRAKDENT submit their latest innovation for consideration for the medal. After careful review of each device’s operation and its quality certificates, and taking into consideration scientific opinions and clinical evaluations, the selection committee presents medals to only the most advanced systems at the show.

This is the second recognition the CS 9600 has received this spring. It was also awarded an Edison Award seal in the Medical/Dental Diagnostics category in early April 2019.
