NEW ORLEANS—Today at the AAOMS Annual Meeting, Carestream Dental introduced the first true-cloud practice management solution designed specifically for the oral and maxillofacial field: Sensei Cloud for Oral Surgery. It includes all the benefits expected of the Cloud—secure anytime, anywhere access that’s easily scalable—with the oral surgery features and imaging capabilities doctors need to run a successful practice.

Rather than documenting patient vital signs in a free text note, Vital Signs Capture uses structured data, so team members can update specific fields in the EMR to create a complete clinical record. This makes it easier to update and later review the patient history. Users can also review medications and allergies, lab cases and clinically relevant correspondences attached as a PDF—each with their own audit history to quickly review explanations for changes—within the EMR.
Most vital to an oral surgeon is the addition of Sensei Imaging,* which gives centralized HIPAA-compliant access to 3D and 2D images. Doctors can easily share images with referrals, other locations and patients for increased collaboration and a more manageable office workflow. A built-in digital toolset even gives users the ability to manipulate images directly in the Cloud.
And when it comes to the business side of oral healthcare, Sensei for Oral Surgery provides actionable reporting that shows how a practice is performing so owners and office managers can track progress and make smart business decisions.
