At Forest Dental Care, located in Lynchburg, Va., community service is ingrained into the practice philosophy. Since 2006, the entire team—which now includes four doctors, 10 hygienists, one office manager, 12 business employees and six assistants—has come together each year to provide free dental care to members of their community.

Kay Saari has been an administrative assistant for 30 years in her husband’s dental practice. She is responsible for the financial aspects of the office; maintaining and updating computer software; and assisting the front office, as well as the back office with sterilization, etc. Saari also coordinates HIPAA, OSHA, and CPR trainings.

Carestream Dental has recently entered into an agreement with OMSNIC, providing it the exclusive right to license and embed OMSNIC’s Informed Consent Forms into CS WinOMS practice management software. “Our goal for CS WinOMS has always been to streamline a practice’s workflow,” Logan Driskell, senior product line manager, CS WinOMS, Carestream Dental, said.
