CS Restore, an exciting newcomer into the field of CAD/CAM restorative dentistry, is a Computer Aided Design (CAD) software that’s part of the CS Solution portfolio of products. The software simplifies and automates the restoration design process, enabling practitioners to create natural and functional single tooth restorations with fewer steps and clicks.

This is a case which clearly demonstrates the value of 3D CBCT imaging in dentistry. A fracture which was not clearly seen on a traditional 2D radiograph and was not clinically evident was confirmed with amazing clarity using small field CBCT. Such an issue could have severely compromised the patient’s initially proposed course of treatment.

Carestream Dental today announced a partnership with Zimmer Dental Inc., a leading provider of dental oral rehabilitation products, and the Zimmer Institute, a world leader in the educational field of oral rehabilitation. The partnership involves the placement of Carestream Dental’s CS 9300, an all-in-one extraoral imaging system that supports a wide range of clinical applications for different oral health specialties.

Carestream Dental announced CS SoftDent Cloud practice management software at the California Dental Association–South Meeting (CDA–South), held May 15-17, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif. Also at the meeting, Carestream Dental showcased two of its other recently launched products, the CS 8100 3D extraoral imaging system and the RVG 6200 intraoral digital imaging system.
