The innovative CS 8100 3D system is now available with a cephalometric imaging option, in addition to several new 3D applications. Built on the award-winning compact design of the CS 8100 panoramic system and featuring multi-functional, four-in-one imaging capabilities, the CS 8100SC 3D system enhances doctors’ diagnoses with high-quality images and improves workflow for doctors of all specialties.

Since the CS 8100 3D system has an open design, it’s very easy to position patients for scanning, no matter their physical abilities. Patients can either sit or stand during imaging. “Physically challenged patients can be quickly positioned and stay motionless for the short amount of time it takes for a scan,” said Dr. Steinke.

Ormco Corporation, a leading manufacturer and provider of advanced orthodontic technology and services, today announced Insignia™ is now compatible with the Carestream Dental CS 3600 intraoral scanner. The integration is effective as of Feb. 9, 2017. Clinicians utilizing Carestream Dental CS 3600 scanners will now be able to take advantage of the clinical excellence, precision and efficiency that Insignia can provide.

Carestream Dental, a subsidiary of Carestream Health, is pleased to announce its parent company was awarded a total of 43 U.S. patents from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 2016; of those patents, over a quarter pertained to dental technology. The companies also received 52 additional patents in Europe and Asia, 24 of which were dental-related.

Data sets captured by the CS 3600 intraoral scanner have been validated by 3M and are approved for use with the 3M™ Incognito™ Appliance System. The Incognito System offers fully customized lingual brackets, archwires and bonding trays. Like all orthodontic appliances, the Incognito System requires highly accurate models to ensure that the patient’s exact prescription is met to ensure patient comfort and successful treatment.
